Information Governance is a unified system in valuing an organization’s information assets, which explores into the various lifecycle activities. The information lifecycle activities are impacted within the legal environments, best practices and regulations administered for records and information management, IT controls, and standards and guidelines to protect and secure information. Businesses today are rapidly changing due to technological innovations, political pressures and environmental changes. There are many books published that define Information Governance, but we, the Information Professionals, need to reduce the complexities and define a simplified Information Governance Program.

The Information Governance Program Management webinars are designed to combine all the best-practices, models, and most importantly, provide the fundamentals of Information Governance. This Program development and management series will also focus on various industry-standard models, developing a framework with benchmarked governance documents, and methods in sustaining a transparent program. The webinar will include materials and discussions for understanding the basic fundamentals of program management.

Each webinar is meant to be a cooperative learning experience; a holistic approach in which attendees are expected to share insights they have gained from their work experience, as well as the readings by initiating and participating in discussions while working collaboratively with peers.
